Lessons take place on an outstanding Schimmel baby grand piano which has the action and touch of a full size grand piano. This model of piano comes from the Schimmel Koncert range designed for concert performances, so gives students an rare opportunity to explore their playing on such a high-end instrument.
A range of percussion instruments are also used to help teach and consolidate musical concepts, along with a wide variety of games and teaching aids that help make learning engaging, relevant and fun. An ipad is frequently used to access apps that reinforce learning. It is also linked to a high quality hi-fi system that enables pupils to listen to relevant excerpts of music or enjoy playing along to backing tracks of their pieces.
I have a vast music library that helps me carefully select motivating and appropriate music for students, which is then lent out to pupils.
